Dr. Giovanni Bennardo

Giovanni Bennardo is Presidential Research Professor at Northern Illinois University.

He has studied Tongan culture for more than two decades.

Recently, he has focused on Cultural Models of Nature.

"Plant with the full moon" subsistence farmers in a village in Vava'u, a northern Tongan archipelago, told him.

Teferi Abate Adem is a Research Anthropologist with Human Relations Area Files (HRAF) at Yale University, and visiting scholar at Wollo University, Ethiopia.

He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Program in Agrarian Studies (Yale University) and an assistant professor at Addis Ababa University.

Leandro Mahalem de Lima is a Research Associate at the University of São Paulo, Brazil.

He has been conducting fieldwork research among indigenous and other traditional riverine people in the Lower Tapajos region in the Brazilian Amazon since 2008.

Victor de Munck is a cognitive-cultural anthropologist and teaches at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania and

at SUNY New Paltz, New York in the Department of Anthropology .

He has conducted extensive field work in Sri Lanka, Lithuania, and Macedonia.

Allison Harnish is an assistant professor of anthropology at Albion College in Albion, Michigan.

She has been studying the human impacts of environmental change and natural resource management in Southern Province, Zambia since 2007.

He has conducted field research in different areas of Pakistan

For the past 15 years, he has been conducting research combining the cultural models approach with subsequent cultural consensus analyses.

Douglas Hume is associate professor of Anthropology at Northern Kentucky University in Highland Heights, KY.

He has spent nearly two decades studying farming folk knowledge among Malagasy, Belizean, and American farmers.

Charles Goodwin is Research Associate in Anthropology at the University of Cologne in Germany.

Charlie is currently writing his PhD thesis on subsistence and livelihood among hunter-gatherers

in North-Central Namibia,

focusing on the relationship

between foraging and farming.

Eric Jones is assistant professor of Social Epidemiology, at the University of Texas, Houston,

School of Public Health.

He has worked in Ecuador with farmers for more than 2 decades. Much of his work concerns cultural responses to extreme settings.

"Take care of the soil ... and the Earth Mother" subsistence farmers in an Andean village of Cotacachi told him.
